1st Battalion, Company B, 125th Infantry -- Saginaw
Five soldiers were all severely injured after an improvised explosive devise hidden
in the road hit their humvee in Iraq, on Nov. 21, 2005.
Specialist John Wilson Dearing, 21, was killed instantly
and:
Sgt. Spencer Akers, 35, of Traverse City died on Dec. 8, 2005.
Sgt. Joshua Youmans, 26, of Flushing Township died on March 1. 2006
Sgt. Matthew Webber, 23, of Stanwood died April 27, 2006
and lastly,
Sgt. Duane Dreasky, died July 10 2006
They each had suffered severe burns and fought to survive,
and had many surgeries - THEY were true american heroes.
May they now rest in peace.
