Navy  Aviation Electronics Technician Airman Andrew Scott Charpentier, 21,
of Great Falls, Mont.
Andrew died July 23,  2009
at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla.,
from a non-combat related illness incurred while assigned
to the Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Terry J. Lynch, 22,
of Shepherd, Mont.,
Terry died June 29 2009
in Wardak Province, Afghanistan,
of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device
detonated near his vehicle.
He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment,
3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division
(Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.

George died April 4, 2009

improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.

Trevor died   Jan. 27  2009  while supporting
combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan

He had just re-enlisted for another six years.
Shawn was a very dedicated soldier and had been involved

Nicklas  died Dec. 16, 2006 while conducting combat operations
in Al Anbar province, Iraq.

1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force,
Camp Pendleton, Calif

of: Fort Bragg, N.C.  &   Butte,  MT 
Shawn died Dec. 10 2006  in Baghdad, Iraq,
of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device
detonated near his HMMWV.

509th Infantry (Airborne), 4th Brigade Combat Team,
25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.

from enemy action while conducting combat operations
in Al Anbar province,  Iraq.
He was serving with the 3rd Naval Construction Regiment,
Multi-National Corps - Iraq,
and was assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 18,
Detachment 0618 in Billings, Montana

Jeremy S. Sandvick Monroe, 20,
of Chinook, Mont.,
Jeremy died Oct. 8, 2006 from wounds received
while conducting combat operations against enemy forces
in Al Anbar province, Iraq.
He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment,
3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force,
Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii

of Wolf Creek, Mont.,
Phillip died on July 29  2006
during combat operations in Anbar province, Iraq.

He was  assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 130th Engineer Brigade, Warner Barracks, Bamberg, Germany.

Michael died on  October 27, 2005
Michael died in Baghdad, Iraq,
when an improvised explosive device detonated
near his HMMWV during convoy operations.
He was assigned to the 4th Battalion,
64th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team,
3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Andrew died  on  October 4, 2005
from an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Ar Ramadi, Iraq.
He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment,
1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force,
Twentynine Palms, California.
During Operation Iraqi Freedom,
his unit was attached to 2nd Marine Division,
II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).

Travis M. Arndt, 23
of Bozeman, Montana.
Travis died  on September 21, 2005.
in Kirkuk, Iraq, as a result of a vehicle accident
during convoy operations.

Nicholas died  on August 3, 2005
when his amphibious Assault Vehicle was attacked
by an improvised explosive device while
conducting combat operations south of Haditha, Iraq.
He was assigned to Marine Force Reserve’s
4th Reconnaissance Battalion,
4th Marine Division, Billings, Montana.

Robbie died  on March 31, 2005

Edward M. Saltz, 27 
of Bigfork, Montana.
Edward died on December 22, 2003.
  in Baghdad, Iraq,
when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy.
He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment,
1st Armored Division,
Giessen, Germany.

Army Rngr Pfc.
Kristofor Stonesifer, 28 
of Missoula, Montana
Kristofor  died on October 19, 2001
when his Black Hawk helicopter crashed upon attempting
to land in Pakistan.
Kristofor grew up in Pennsylvania and went on
to attend the ROTC program at the University of Montana.
An instructor there recalls that Stonesifer left the program early with a desire to become one of the best soldiers in the U.S. Army.
